Neal Maguire did a superb job selling this home to us. Originally Neal showed us a house we didn’t like but he didn’t forget about us and our requirements and some weeks later he contacted us again. He did an appraisal on our house and began showing us properties, all of which fitted our criteria especially the one we have purchased. Neal listed our house on Paturoa Road and marketed it vigorously over the Christmas period and it sold in less than 4 weeks.

Neal Maguire embodies the absolute opposite of the general preconceived notion of a real estate salesman. From our first meeting I felt I was respected as an individual not as a prospective pay cheque and that feeling did not change. Neal listened to me, advised me and then listed my home which subsequently went on to sell very quickly and at a price I was very happy with. Despite not being the agent to make the sale on this occasion, he was still very much involved, 100% supportive and was right there for me through the whole process. But I felt he also cared for the people on the other side of the sales equation and was quite simply working hard to make a match that was the best it could be for all the parties involved. I feel that Neal is a very genuine individual, and my dog likes him as well which is no small reference! I would have no hesitation in recommending him whether buying or selling.

Neal was one of the first agents we met on the long and interesting journey that was our quest to buy our first home. We met many characters throughout, and Neal stood out immeasurably with his genuine, honest approach. There was none of the sale’s pitchy extravagance, not an ounce of arrogance and not a moment where we didn’t completely and 100% trust what Neal had to say.

He was conscientious, moved at a fantastic pace where necessary and quite frankly did all the right things at the right times. The most important thing when buying a house is trust in the person, the process and the outcome, and Neal made an incredibly nerve-wracking experience pleasurable. He was conscientious, focused and extremely professional at all times. He was NEVER pushy, he completely understood our position throughout, and we never felt that we were being “sold to”. In fact, it truly felt like he was working for us as much as he was working for the vendor. We would recommend Neal in a heartbeat.

As a first home buyers and new migrants, we were not that familiar with the home buying process in Auckland. Neal provided professional guidance for us throughout the process.
